About The Role
You will be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.
Overall, Purpose of the Role:
- To effectively manage within budgetary constraints.
- Conform to client and company specification.
- To continuously develop and improve food quality and hygiene standards.
- To have knowledge of changes in legislation.
- To meet the client and company expectations
- To respond to any reasonable request of the company or client
- To recruit, train, develop and motivate staff.
- To ensure that adequate products, equipment, and materials are properly stored, used, maintained and controlled.
- To provide high quality product at all times to the client.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:
- Maintain positive staff attitudes and team spirit.
- To continuously train and develop staff skills.
- Maintain all records in line with legislation and company policy.
- Deal with disciplinary and grievance issues consistently, fairly and in line with company policy.
- Always ensure compliance with legal requirements such as Health & Safety at Work, display of all necessary notices, accidents reporting and first aid.
- Carry out on the job training in such areas as Health & Safety evacuation policy, dangerous equipment and basic food hygiene in liaison with the Client Account Executive and OCS HR Department.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in quality establishment.
- Management experience within catering environment gained in Contract catering.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Must be self-motivated and results orientated with effective inter - personal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and delegate effectively to direct reports.
- Ability to mentor and develop subordinates, counselling and coaching as necessary.
- High degree of interest in their own personal development and future career progression.
- Flexible approach to working hours required.
- Full driving licence essential.
