Territory Business Development Manager, Medical Diagnostics
Type: PermanentLocation: M1 corridor (covers North East, areas of Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, North Midlands / Notts, Worcester etc) frequent travel with potential over night stays possible

Russell Taylor is working exclusively with a leading IVD- Medical Devices company who are growing their sales team and looking to appoint an experienced hunter

The Role:
ØManaging a core territory as determined by the Sales Manager so that agreed salesand profitability targets are delivered.
ØAttaining annual sales to pre-defined sales targets within the territory by both growing
the number of products sold to each customer and growing the number of customers.
ØProducing accurate, reliable market information in order to determine the potentialprofitability of the introduction of new products.
ØTo communicate market intelligence on customer needs and competitor activity.
ØWorking closely and in conjunction with other departments within the Clients business- including Marketing, R&D and Customer Services
ØTo own, manage, keep up to date and ensure all appropriate databases are accurate.
This particularly includes the CRM system.
ØTo rigorously comply with all appropriate procedural documents
ØTo pro-actively develop, monitor and manage customer accounts.
ØTo pro-actively network with customers and prospects at specialist meetings, forums, presentations etc
ØTo be pro-active in quotation opportunities, in managing electronic quotes and invitation
to tenders (ITT). To ensure such quotations and ITTs are responded to within the
appropriate deadlines and standards.
ØTo attend exhibitions and demonstrations as required.
ØTo deliver territory-based sales campaigns and achieve the planned new sales
ØTo contribute to being a member of a highly motivated sales team by actively networking
within the team and actively participating in all sales and company events
The Person:
ØEducated to Degree level in a life science related industry (ideally Microbiology) or STEM related with experience in outlined industries to counter this.ØCandidates must have sold into MANAGED SERVICES and used to the process for this, ideally the NHS, VMD or similar.
ØWe are looking for hunters/ people with an appetite for new business development, proven experience winning contracts and retaining business.
ØThe ideal candidate will have an understanding of clinical diagnostic methodologies and will ideally have practical experience working in a micro lab
ØMust have a valid (clean) UK driving licence
ØWilling to travel and/or stay overnight when required.
ØStrong IT literacy skills (Microsoft applications) and use of CRM systems
ØExcellent communication skills/ interpersonal skills required (telephone, f2f etc)
