Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in HVAC systems to lead and manage mechanical projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will ensure the timely delivery of projects within budget and scope while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management:

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of HVAC and mechanical projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage project risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical expertise in HVAC systems, including design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to quality standards.

Budget and Resource Management:

• Monitor project costs and manage budgets effectively.
• Allocate resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and closeout documents.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing HVAC or mechanical projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD tools.

Certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• HVAC certifications (e.g., LEED AP, HBDP) are desirable.
