Teaching Assistants required for Independent Secondary Schools in Hatfield
Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading education staffing supplier and we are currently sourcing Teaching Assistants for a number of support staff opportunities in Secondary Schools for the Hatfield and surrounding areas from January 2025.
We are mostly seeking Teaching Assistants who can commit to long-term contracts or are seeking future permanent employment in a school. Teaching Assistant contracts can last anywhere between 1 month to 3 months, with the opportunity to go permanent for some schools.
What to expect as a Teaching Assistant?
Day-to-day tasks
As a Teaching Assistant, you could:
- Help teachers prepare lesson materials
- Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons
- Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting their learning
- Watch, record and report the progress students make
- Look after children who are upset or unwell
- Lead classes with help from the teacher
- Previous experience in a school is advantageous
- Friendly, confident and calm attitude
- Previous experience working with children or young adults
- Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds
- An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
- Be passionate about helping students to succeed in academically, emotionally, socially
- Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 1 to Year 11)
- You will be dedicated to ensure that all children achieve their very best
- Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of the school
