60% of Salford is made up of green space. As well as large open spaces and sports pitches, we have eight green flag parks, two green flag cemeteries, six Local Nature Reserves, and over 40 parks and play areas.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced project management officer with knowledge of parks and greenspace projects to join the parks and streetscene development team. The person must have good communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders to coordinate projects across the city.
The post holder will be expected to coordinate and implement the design and tender of new greenspace projects and will need to hold excellent budget management skills. The management of contractors and staff will form part of the role and experience in the area is required.
A suitable qualification or experience in landscape design or project management is desirable.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for the successful applicant.
