PERMANENT ROLE
Our client in Nottingham is looking for a Manual Machinist specialising in manual grinding to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client manufactures products for a variety of industries including aerospace and oil and gas.
Job Description:
- This role covers both new products and existing parts from one offs to small batches.
- To set and operate Grinder & Lathe machines with information from technical drawings
- To work to tight tolerances and check own work ensuring it meets quality and technical standards
- To work with minimum supervision and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment and carry out any routine machine maintenance as required.
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Candidate will ideally come from a manual grinding, milling or turning background
- Must be able to read and work from technical drawings
- A minimum of three years' experience within a machine shop role
- Apprentice trained would be advantageous but not essential
- Able to quality check own work
- Confident working with a variety of metals including mild, stainless steel and aluminium
