Speech & Language Teaching Assistant

This has potential to be a part-time role, working three days a week.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you'll work within a mainstream school environment, supporting students with SEND. You'll play a pivotal role in helping students build confidence, and communication skills.

• Supporting pupils with SEND in their academic and personal development.
• Follow a Speech & Language programme for each child.
• Managing and positively influencing challenging behaviours.
• Working closely with teachers and support staff in a collaborative, team-based setting.

• Experience: A background in teaching / TA work is preferable but not essential.
• Qualification: Minimum grade C or above in maths & English GCSE. A childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Team Player: A collaborative mindset and a passion for working as part of a supportive team.
• Adaptability: Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Training: Safeguarding training is essential - if you do not have this, we're able to provide free training for you
