Learning Support Assistant - Bristol

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm
Salary: BG8/SP12-16 £28,163 to £30,060 FTE

We are looking for:- An enthusiastic, empathetic and hardworking Learning Support Assistant.
- A highly flexible and adaptable individual who is able and willing to work across the primary phase.
- A commitment to supporting all pupils, both academically and pastorally.
- A recognition of the need to make adjustments to support those pupils with special educational needs.
- The ability to cover various roles including in class support, small group and individual learning interventions, 1 to 1 individual support for pupils and lunchtime supervision.
- A resilient practitioner with the skills and empathy needed to support high needs pupils, including some who may display challenging behaviour.
The successful applicant will take overall direction from the class teacher and SENDCO but will also be confident to make independent decisions to vary and adapt activities and strategies in the best interests of the child.
