Kitchen Assistant-Location: 1 West Harling Road, East Harling, NR16 2NP.
At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to work in one of our residential care facilities, The Beeches on a full time, 45 hour permanent contract, £12.00 per hour.The Beeches is a Care Home in East Harling, providing care to the elderly and those living with Dementia. The Beeches stand in 2 acres of land which was originally a rectory. The Beeches has successfully maintained its “Outstanding Overall” rating from the CQC, which makes it among the top 4% in the country.

Responsibilities of a Kitchen Assistant:
- Assist the Cook with unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom. Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock. Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
- Assist the Cook when required with washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients and using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans and observing cooking times and correct temperatures. . (completing daily cleaning schedules/ documenting items cleaned)
- Assist in the preparation of meals, light snacks and drink in line with IDDSI requirements as needed (Full training provided)
