We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for Students with Physical Disabilities to provide essential support in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with physical disabilities.
- Assist with mobility and physical needs, including the use of specialised equipment.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting learning materials as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to develop and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with personal care tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young adults with physical disabilities.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education or disability support (preferred).
