Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef with a passion for viennoiserie, including croissants, pain au chocolat, brioche, and other laminated pastries.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in producing high-quality viennoiserie alongside other pastries and desserts. However, chefs with a strong background in pastry can be trained.
You will play a key role in creating signature products and maintaining the exceptional quality that MOR Bakery is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of viennoiserie (croissants, Danish pastries, pain au chocolat, etc.) with a focus on consistency and excellence.
- Develop and refine new recipes for viennoiserie and seasonal specialties.
- Ensure perfect lamination and fermentation processes to produce the best texture and flavor.
- Oversee the production of other baked goods, including cakes, tarts, and desserts.
- Manage stock levels, including sourcing and selecting high-quality ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Train and mentor junior staff on viennoiserie techniques and pastry fundamentals.
- Work closely with the bakery team to meet production demands while maintaining our high standards.
- Collaborate on creating new and innovative pastry products for MOR Bakery’s menu.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef
- Understanding of lamination and baking techniques.
- Formal training in pastry or culinary arts is preferred.
- A keen eye for detail, with the ability to produce visually stunning and delicious pastries.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
