Practice Nurse Prescriber - Part-Time Role Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Location - Reading

£28,000 - £36,000 per year - dependant on experience

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and innovative practice seeking a Practice Nurse Prescriber to join their dedicated team. This part-time role spans three days a week and is an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking environment focused on delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Perform routine tasks such as cytology, wound care, Doppler assessments, suture removal, NHS health checks, and urinalysis. Manage minor ailments and chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, hypertension, and coronary heart disease.

Clinical Support: Conduct ECGs, spirometry, peak flow readings, venepuncture, and administer routine and childhood immunisations. Assist GPs with minor surgeries and coil fittings as needed.

Pathology and Prescriptions: Request pathology tests urine culture, swabs and follow clinical protocols, referring to GPs as appropriate.

Chronic Disease Management: Demonstrate an interest in managing conditions such as diabetes, asthma, coronary heart disease, and contraception.

Additional Duties:

Maintain a clean and tidy treatment room, adhering to infection control standards.
Manage treatment room stock, order vaccinations, and health promotion literature.
Participate in practice administration, keeping accurate and timely clinical records.
Engage in practice meetings and ongoing clinical education to enhance professional development.

Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.
