Location: Swansea

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety regulations and our thinkSAFE/EHS policies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative servicing and timely breakdown repairs on manufacturing equipment and site facilities.
  • Diagnosis & Repair: Identify root causes of equipment and facility breakdowns, performing high-quality repairs to prevent repeat failures.
  • Documentation: Complete all maintenance documentation and logs accurately, including comprehensive entries into the CMMS (C-Works system).
  • Proactive Work Ethic: Work methodically to ensure backlog tasks are completed swiftly, supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Collaboration: Assist the Engineering Services Lead in planning, scheduling, and managing external contractors.
  • 6S Standards: Maintain high standards of 6S within the Maintenance Workshop and Maintenance Stores area.
  • Team Support: Communicate effectively with peers, providing clear handover reports and supporting the control of machine spare parts, tools, and equipment.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Adherence to PPM schedules
  • continual improvement in equipment performance metrics (Uptime / Downtime / OEE / MTTR & MTBF)
  • High repair completion rate
  • Positive factory delivery performance and lead time metrics
  • Strong H&S metrics, including LTA and Near Miss reporting
  • High 6S audit scores
  • Timely completion of training

Qualifications:

What You'll Bring:

  • Apprenticeship: Time-served apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge and hands-on skills.
  • Control Systems: Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and other control systems.
  • Fabrication: Experience in fabricating.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shift patterns to support business needs, including regular days’ work through to 24/7 continental shifts
  • Critical Parts Identification: Ability to identify critical parts and manage order levels.
  • Instrumentation & Calibration: Knowledge of instrumentation and calibration.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in CMMS (C-Works) and MS Office packages.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly present ideas and reports in both written and verbal formats.
  • Time Management: Excellent planning and leadership skills.
  • Safety Awareness: High awareness of safety for self, others, and the surrounding environment.
