- Making: Make independent decisions on admissions, transfers and discharges while working with multidisciplinary teams.
Emergency Procedures: Perform life-saving procedures and manage critical conditions.
Supervision and Teaching: Supervise junior staff, provide guidance and train healthcare professionals.Service Development: Contribute to developing protocols, service improvement and audits for quality care.
Communication: Communicate clearly with patients, families and healthcare teams, maintaining accurate documentation.
Risk Management: Participate in clinical governance, manage incidents and ensure patient safety.
Out-of-Hours Work: Handle on-call and out-of-hours responsibilities, leading during emergencies.
Liaison with Primary Care: Coordinate with GPs and community services for smooth patient discharges and follow-up care.
Professional Development: Engage in CPD, training and staying updated with medical advancements.
