This role can be based in our Corporate Office in London or in one of our Sortation Centers across UK*

Key job responsibilities- Define and scope new projects or programs to provide solutions to meet evolving business requirements for Sort Centers
- Execute multiple time-sensitive, large-scale capital projects to meet business objectives in defined project timeframes
- Monitor resources required to execute initiatives across the EU network including but not limited to: Launches, Retrofit projects, Post Launch support, Special Projects to maximize asset utilization
- Manage milestones with aggressive schedule commitments
- Drive standardization and consistency within our network while staying within budget constraints
- Interface, communicate and partner with cross-functional teams at various levels of management
- Work closely with Amazon Robotics, Construction, Finance, IT, Network Planning, Operations, Ops Engineering, People eXperience and Technology (PXT), Physical Security, PMO, Procurement, Real Estate, Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME), Start Up, Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and the Project Teams to build and secure support and resources for projects
- Monitor and report on the progress of multiple project activities including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule
- Have willingness to travel in the EU up to 40% of the time
As a Programme Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of
creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and
programmes. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient
project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.
Programme Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal withcomplex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a
responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also
contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.
About the teamThe Middle Mile Node Programs team is the critical link between our best in
class fulfillment network and the customer. Our ability to sort and deliver
packages from multiple fulfillment centers across Europe accurately and
efficiently enables fast and reliable delivery service. As the Amazon Middle
Mile network continues to diversify and grow, the need to innovate on our
existing infrastructure and improve customer experience while continuing to
grow our footprint becomes increasingly necessary and urgent.
### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in business, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field
- Advanced proficiency in English, verbal and written
- Past experience in managing and implementing high complexity projects
- Experience managing, negotiating, and communicating with internalexternal business partners to meet organizational capacity needs
- Experience in management within the Transport, Distribution or Logistics industry would be highly desirable
- Masters degree or equivalent qualification in business, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field
- PMP or other project management certification such as Prince2
- Proficiency with MS Project
- Fluency in other European languages
