SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Oldham

Location: Oldham
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £85 - £100 per day (based on experience)

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Oldham. You will be working closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and supporting their learning and development in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning and behavioural needs.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering lessons under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Offer social and emotional support to students who need it.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help students develop important life skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with students who have SEN is desirable.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting students.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
