Education Stage: Primary (Key Stage 2)

Role Overview:

As a Year 6 Class Teacher at Marner Primary School, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire and challenge pupils in their final year of primary education. In addition to your classroom duties, you will take on subject leadership responsibilities within the school, helping to develop and enhance curriculum delivery across Key Stage 2 with a focus on Year 6 and Subject Leadership across the school.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Minimum of three years’ teaching experience within primary education, preferably with recent experience teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2 classes.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England at Key Stage 2 level.
  • Proven ability to plan engaging lessons that meet diverse learners' needs and promote excellent progress.
  • Experience leading or coordinating subjects within primary education settings is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues and external partners.
  • Ability to use assessment data effectively to inform planning and support pupil achievement.
