We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages from September 2025. You will either be an experienced practitioner with excellent pedagogical knowledge and communication skills or have the potential to develop into such a practitioner.The ability to teach French at all key stages is essential; the ability to teach Spanish is highly desirable.
The MFL Department at Hitchin Girls’ School is a very special place to teach.- We use the online courses on ActiveLearn as the basis for our teaching.
- Lessons have a fully blended approach with students using individual chrome books in the majority of lessons.
- We have French groups at all Key Stages of the curriculum.
- There is a wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer including our Language Leaders programme, KS4 Project Polyglot programme, Beginners’ Japanese club and a number of trips and visits.
- We are a collaborative team who willingly share resources and good practice in our meetings and MFL weekly briefings.
