Superintendent Pharmacist

Accountable for the delivery of high quality, patient centred, safe and progressive outpatient pharmacy services. Perform the duties and responsibilities of the superintendent pharmacist as required by the GPhC and all applicable legislation.

Ensure the service and its staff complies with all expectations of the GPhC and in-line with Standards for pharmacy professionals (GPhC 2017) Ensure that all pharmacy practice, including their own, is within the statutory legislation and boundaries described within the latest version of the Medicines, Ethics and Practice issued by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society To ensure adequate and up-to-date SOPs are in place as required by GPhC guidance to ensure effective, efficient and safe working practices.

To ensure that all activity undertaken is consistent with maintaining registration of the premises with GPhC To ensure the Responsible Pharmacist Regulations 2008 are adhered to at all times and the Pharmacy Record is maintained at all times.
