Secondary English Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Location: England, Greater London, Wandsworth
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £150 - £210 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Design, deliver, and assess engaging and inclusive English lessons for secondary school students.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support student progress and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and resources aligned with the British National Curriculum for English.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events to communicate student progress and build positive relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the British National Curriculum for English.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in English or related field.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching English to secondary school students.
  • Proven track record of student achievement and progress in English.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Passion for education and commitment to student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
