The Group Procurement function is looking to expand and is searching for a passionate and experience procurement professional to join the team. If you are CIPS qualified, have experience in Construction and Property Management categories and looking for a new challenge in a vibrant and exciting environment, here's the opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- To advise business users at all levels on the most appropriate purchasing strategy to be adopted when sourcing goods and services to ensure that best value is obtained and that all financial regulations and audit requirements are complied with.
- To manage the delivery of the procurement element of the sourcing process encompassing the following areas:
- Challenging the business to ensure that the specification, service level requirement truly reflects the business need
- Evaluation of the supply market, identifying appropriate suppliers, supply trends and other factors that may affect the supply costs
- Production of the ITT and management of the communication process throughout the tender period
- Coordination and leadership of the formal evaluation process advising on relevant evaluation criteria, documentation etc
- Negotiation of the commercial contract to ensure the best terms are obtained
- Resolution of problems throughout the process
- To review non contract expenditure to identify:
- Alternative purchase arrangements to reduce the overall cost of supply
- Alternative suppliers
- Opportunities for leveraging group expenditure by aggregating purchases.
- Supplier performance management where appropriate, generally group contracts, providing resolution for supply, pricing and other contract issues.
Qualifications:
Membership of CIPs
Experience- Managing complex procurement projects
- Supply and subcontract procurement
- Negotiate and drafting MF1 contracts and JCT
- Able to demonstrate success in commercial negotiations, supplier management and managing complex procurement projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills to operate at all organisational levels
- Strong negotiation skills
- Self motivated, managing own workload and priorities
- Team player working within cross functional teams
- High levels of persuasiveness
- Analytical skills
