We are delighted to be offering the opportunity for two exceptional leaders to join our senior operations team as Group Directors of Operations for our Women’s and Childrens Group and within our Trauma and Neurosciences Group.
Both require highly competent and motivated health service leaders to drive performance, strategic development, and innovation across the groups.
As Group Director of Operations, you will collaborate with the Clinical Director to lead and develop our specialty groups. Your focus will be on performance management, service redesign, and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with both local and national priorities.This role also involves overseeing financial performance, workforce development and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of business strategies to achieve key activity and financial targets.
- Foster clinical and non-clinical team collaboration to implement service improvements.
- Ensure compliance with NHS standards, including CQC regulations.
- Drive innovation through lean management and strategic planning.
- Manage budgets, develop workforce strategies, and oversee risk assessments
Women’s and Childrens Group – provides full hospital care across our women’s and children’s services including local, regional and specialists’ services. This group has a CQC rating of Outstanding for Well-Led across maternity services.
Trauma & Neuro Group – comprises the leadership and operational management of our Hospital of St Cross at Rugby as well as the Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stroke, Neurophysiology, Interventional Neuroradiology, Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics and Major Trauma services.

About You:
We are looking for a leader with:
- A master’s qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven success in senior healthcare management, leading teams, and achieving targets
- A proven track record of successfully leading and transforming services in large complex organisations and demonstrable examples of your ability to drive performance through your leadership approach and excellent communications skills.
- An ability to challenge the paradigms of current practice and innovate is key as is the capability to make deliberate and considered decisions, supported by the understanding and interpretation of performance analytics.
- Expertise in performance management, strategic planning and financial oversight

- Significant knowledge of NHS operational performance as well as the current and future direction of the NHS at a national level will support your application.
