- Controlling Access: The security guard must regulate access to customers' properties, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed entry.
- Assignment Instructions: Security guards are required to carry out duties as specified in the site assignment instructions. These instructions may change over time, so staying up to date with any modifications is essential.
- Incident Assistance: In the event of an incident on-site, the guard must be available to assist and take necessary actions according to established protocols.
- Site and Assignment Changes: Sites may change based on customer needs or assignment modifications. It is the security guard's responsibility to identify any changes in assignment instructions, key holdings, and computer-based instructions, ensuring they are communicated to the supervisor for updates.
- Clarity and Accuracy: If any ambiguity arises due to outdated or incorrect information, the guard must seek guidance to ensure proper instructions are given to resolve any issues.
This role demands attention to detail, effective communication with supervisors, and a proactive approach to ensuring the safety and security of the property and personnel on-site.
Essential Requirements- SIA Licence: The candidate must hold an SIA (Security Industry Authority) Security Guard Licence, Door Supervision Licence, or Close Protection Licence.
- Full, Clean Driving Licence: If the assignment involves driving, the candidate must possess and maintain a full, clean driving licence.
- Positive Culture: The candidate should be able to display a positive attitude and approach in their work.
- Excellent Communication Skills: The candidate must possess strong communication skills, enabling them to work independently while maintaining regular contact with the ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre).
- Attention to Detail: The candidate must be detail-oriented, ensuring any inaccuracies are reported to maintain continuous improvement.
- Shift Flexibility: The candidate must be willing to work on a shift rotation, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Desirable Requirements:- Previous Customer Service Experience: Having experience in customer service is beneficial, as it enhances the ability to interact professionally and courteously with the public and clients.

- Understanding of Relevant Standards and Legislation: An understanding of industry standards and relevant legislation related to security services is highly desirable, ensuring the guard operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Lone Working Experience: Previous experience working alone or an understanding of the protocols and safety processes for lone working is beneficial, as it ensures the guard can effectively manage situations while working independently.
