This is a stimulating post for a CT radiographer who is keen on high quality service development and delivery. The post holder will work alongside the Cross sectional Lead to ensure the development of the CT Service at Dorset County Hospital.

Dorset County Hospital currently has 2 CT scanners on the Dorchester site and 1 CT scanner in the Weymouth site as part of the CDC programme. We will be having a new CT scan room in the new ED that is due to open in January 2027

The Diagnostic Imaging Department was rated GOOD by the CQC and has achieved Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) Accreditation. Services are provided at the main Dorset County Hospital site and five community hospitals. The department has CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology with approximately 170,0000 examinations per annum across the department.

We are looking for an experienced, skilled, enthusiastic and innovative Lead CT Radiographer ready to take up this challenging role in our friendly and dynamic department. Training in advanced CT techniques would be desirable. The Radiology Department is committed to facilitating flexible ways of working to help balance work and home life, whilst improving service delivery, motivation and morale.

There is an opportunity for the candidate to undertake an CT colonography reporting course as funding has been identified and support from the consultant radiologists in the form of a mentor.

Dorset County Hospital is active in clinical research with over 200 recruiting trials and has a longstanding relationship with the Diagnostic Imaging Department, being instrumental in facilitating the delivery of the many cancer, stroke and orthopaedic trials.
