GCSE Maths and Statistics Teacher
About the role:Activate Learning are now looking to recruit an outstanding, inspirational, and student focused maths teacher to deliver high quality teaching and learning at Guildford college. This role will predominately focus on GSCE maths and Statistics.With your excellent subject knowledge and practice skills you will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate teachers to ensure we plan and deliver purposeful lessons, and participate in the curriculum development to meet the needs of changing industry demands and stakeholder feedback.This is a permanent, part-time role working 29.6 hours per week (0.8 FTE) at our Guildford College campus. While the current teaching commitment will reduce to 11 hours per week from January 2025, additional hours may become available depending on the team's requirements.As a Maths Teacher, you may be eligible to apply for an additional payment of up to £6000 from the levelling up premium payment scheme.

Learn more here: What do you need to be successful as a Maths Teacher at Activate Learning?We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.Whilst previous teaching experience or qualifications would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the appropriate professional qualifications and/or a degree to teach on our Maths courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.Level 4 or above qualification in Maths is essentialExperience of working in any business-related sector is essentialIt is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essentialYour communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners.
