Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Engage in curriculum development and planning within the English department.
• Participate in the appraisal and review process, contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
• Monitor and support student progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.
• Maintain up-to-date records of students’ attendance, behavior, and academic progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Demonstrable experience in teaching English at secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and recent developments in the field of English education.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
