Paediatric Pharmacist

WHAT YOULL DOYou will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to paediatric and neonatal patients on a rotational basis. You will be expected to work closely with technical services and dispensary teams providing clinical expertise and guidance for individual patients.
This post includes: Attending consultant ward rounds. Developing evidence-based treatment guidelines in conjunction with consultants, nurse specialists and pharmacists. Supporting the neonatal and paediatric nutrition teams. Teaching medical students and members of the multidisciplinary team.
Acting as a role model for junior/newly qualified pharmacists Supporting homecare. Audit and research opportunities. WHAT WERE LOOKING FORYou must be enthusiastic and committed to team working with good communication skills and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Previous experience in paediatric pharmacy is desirable but is not essential. The ability to complete objectives within the set time frame is important. We are able to provide training and staff development as experienced paediatric pharmacists will support you in this role.

This role is available as a development role starting at a band 6 with a clear progression pathway using the RPS framework to enable you to advance to a band 7.
