Associate Director of Facilities and Estates
About the Role At Acorns Childrens Hospice we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands from our three hospices. Each hospice has specially decorated bedrooms, therapy rooms, a hydrotherapy room and dining facilities.
Additionally, we have a network of shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire. As Associate Director of Facilities and Estates, you will: Develop and deliver a comprehensive estates, facilities, housekeeping, and catering strategy Provide expert advice to the executive team on property, facilities, catering, and housekeeping matters Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team across estates, facilities, housekeeping, and catering, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration Prepare and manage the estates, facilities, housekeeping, and catering budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources Plan and oversee capital projects, including modernisation efforts, renovations, and relocations Be responsible for all aspects of property acquisition, lease renewals and exits (inc.
dilapidations) breaks and rent reviews About You Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IWFM, RICS) Proven experience in estates and facilities management, including housekeeping and catering operations Strong knowledge of health & safety, food safety legislation, compliance, and risk management Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, being results orientated Strong financial acumen and budget management capabilities What We Offer £60k £70k per annum Based in Wythall (B47 6JR) with some home working and significant presence at other sites 37 hours per week Employee discounts from leading retailers Employee gym discount scheme Bike-to-Work scheme Generous contribution to group personal pension plan or continuation of current NHS pension scheme.
