An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our team here at AGH Solutions as the Health & Safety Coordinator.
This role will see you providing expert professional advice and leading the portfolio of compliance requirements for AGH Solutions on all aspects of Health and Safety legislation, ensuring that the company are able to demonstrate full compliance and provide assurance to the Board.You will also provide a documented work programme across all health and safety areas so that performance can be measured across this important range of issues.
Main duties of the job
To ensure compliant with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations, implementing improvement actions where required
Ensure the provision of a comprehensive health and safety inspection programme across all locations.
Assist managers to understand and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure that all staff, understand their responsibilities.
Give timely and appropriate advice on health and safety issues to managers and staff to reduce the risk to the health and safety of employees at work, and others who may be affected by the AGH Solutions activities.
Working with the Health & Safety Manager and the Trusts Health & Safety Manager to coordinate the Health and Safety Group and establish and coordinate the activity of any subgroups/working groups as required.
Keep professionally up to date with all aspects of legislation, best practice, recommendations, and national guidance.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety
- Membership of an appropriate professional body (eg. IOSH, NAHS)
- NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or equivalent
- CDM Specific training/certification
Experience
Essential criteria- Significant operational experience within health and safety or risk management fields Experience working within the public sector, understanding its systems and processes
- Experience of developing and implementing health, safety, security management in healthcare premises.
- Preparation of Directorate level reports and papers
- Experience of working within a healthcare environment
- Experience working in a fast paced estates and facilities environment
