About Our Client
My client is a large manufacturing organisation based in Lichfield looking for a full time Assistant buyer in the indirect team.
Job Description- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans.
- Assist in negotiation of contracts with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Help manage supplier relationships and build effective partnerships.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of procurement processes.
- Experience in a procurement role within the industrial / manufacturing industry is ideal but not essential.
- Experience as an Assistant Buyer.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of supply chain processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can commute to Lichfield
