Job Description
The key responsibilities of an Assistant Management Accountant will include:
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Preparation of the month-end and year-end closing process
- Collaborate with the financial team to enhance accounting procedures
- Contribute to financial audits and comply with financial regulations
- Aid in the development of financial plans and strategies
- Provide support to the senior management team on financial matters
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- Previous experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
- AAT qualified and looking to study towards professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Proficiency in accounting software ideally Xero but not essential
- Proficient with MS excel - intermediate to advanced level
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management
- A competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 per annum
