Associate Civil Engineer
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to strengthen their existing team.

Associate Civil Engineer role:
- This exciting role offers career progression for an Associate on our industry-leading aviation infrastructure team. You will report to the Associate Director and lead a Design team.
Associate Civil Engineer responsibilities:
- Collaborate with fellow Associates within the Airfield Ground Lighting team.
- Work closely with the aviation architectural and building services teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with both Airport clients and Contractor clients.
- Client-facing role with daily client interaction.
- Develop and deliver design programs, reports, and specifications, with ongoing progress monitoring.
- Oversee multiple projects.
- Support the development of fee proposals, tender submissions, and project interviews.
Associate Civil Engineer requirements:
Required:- Experience in the design of airfield and highway pavements within Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of airfield infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with the demands of working within a live airport environment.
- Project Management experience.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects/design disciplines.
- Understand commercial and buildability considerations.
- Experience in managing and mentoring teams of engineers and CAD technicians.
- Civil 3D skills and experience.
- Experienced in the use of construction materials within airfield infrastructure.
- Knowledge and experience in drainage design.
- Proven experience in the design and construction sector.
- Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE) with extensive design experience.
- Experience in aviation infrastructure design adhering to CAP 168, EASA, ICAO, and applicable military standards.
- Knowledge of airside operations within an airport environment.
- Experience in airfield pavement design utilizing standards such as DMG27 and FAA's FAARFIELD software.
- Capable of contributing to the development of fee proposals, tender submissions, and project interviews.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and experience in preparing tender documents.
- Understanding of commercial and buildability considerations.
