Deputy Nursery Manager

40 hours per week

Our client, a well-established Montessori nursery, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of care and education while fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a senior nursery role with strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and early years best practices.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• A passion for Montessori education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with EYFS guidelines, safeguarding policies, and health & safety regulations.
• Support the development and implementation of an engaging, child-centred Montessori-inspired curriculum.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff, promoting professional development and best practices.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Contribute to ongoing self-evaluation and improvements in nursery policies, procedures, and practices.
