PMLD Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant?

Tradewind are working with a highly successful Primary School in Westhoughton and they are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting in September on an ongoing basis.

They are looking for someone who has previous experience in a PMLD environment or have worked extensively with learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), some with associated complex needs, ASD (Autism) and challenging behaviours,personal care(nappy changing ), medical needs and none verbal communication.

We are looking for:

• Have excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
• Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
• Excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication
• Passion to ensure every pupil succeeds and reaches their full potential
• An awareness of their own strengths and areas for development and a willingness to listen to, reflect constructively and ac upon, as appropriate, feedback from others.
• Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently.

Essentials:

• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
