Senior Accountant - Leicester
Type: Interim 3 months (possible extension)
Salary: £100 to £220 per day umbrella
1 day a week onsite
Location: Leicestershire
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant for our Local Authority client.
My client is looking for the post holder to lead the dedicated team and to develop the IT system effectively.
The Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will be;- Provide effective financial services to support high-quality, cost-effective, customer-focused Council services
- Maximise the contribution of Council assets
- Develop a high-quality, cost-effective service in:
- IT system utilisation and administration
- Year-end accounting
- Manage a team of 3 Business Accountants and 1 Accountancy Assistant.
- System implementation experience
- Experience in Year-end Accounting
- Proven experience in Local Government (ideal) or Public Sector (essential)
- Experience in managing and leading a team
- Strong stakeholder management.
