Hutton is a single sex boys’ school from 11-16 with 689 students currently on roll. The school is co-educational in the Sixth Form with 134 students currently on roll. The school was judged ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in May 2022 and ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by SIAMS in February 2018.
The English Department at Hutton consistently produces outstanding results at both GCSE and A Level. Ofsted noted that “Pupils make outstanding progress in English... This is a result of strong teaching, effective assessment and interventions”.
