gap personnel are recruiting for a number of Production Packers for a temporary to permanent vacancy based in Paignton, Devon.
As a Production Packer you will be packing products off a high-speed machine in a fast-paced manufacturing environment as well as ensuring regular visual quality checks are undertaken. This location is accessible by a major local bus route.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
Packing productsChecking of product prior to packaging
Palletising
To keep the Shift Supervisor informed of any problems encountered with Production processes and/or equipment
To pack product in line with Company standards including BRC Global Standards for packaging
To ensure all product is labelled correctly
Requirements from candidate:
Eye for detailExperience of working in a manufacturing environment is preferable, ideally within a faced paced environment in a Packing capacity
Strong communication
Dependable and have a reliable mode of transport to commute to work
Able to operate in a sometimes-pressurised environment working to deadlines
Teamwork
Working Hours & Pay Rates:
Monday- Thursday 07:30am
- 16:30pm, Friday 07:30am
- 15:00pm for training, moving onto a rotating shift (0600am – 1400pm & 1400pm – 2200pm)
£11.44 per hour, £17.16 per hour after 38.5 hours per week
