Your new role: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead the clinical strategy and drive commercial growth for our innovative digital health company. The CMO will be responsible for aligning clinical excellence with business objectives, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering key partnerships, and shaping the future of our digital health solutions.The CMO will provide confidence to the registered manager in balancing the highest levels of patient care within a commercially sustainable operating model. The CMO will promote the provision of care which is evidence-based and which produces the best outcomes for patients, and will oversee the evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of our services on a routine basis.
As the organisation’s most senior medical advisor, the CMO will provide reassurance to the ELT and Board on all professional medical issues and lead clinical engagement within the organisation and externally. The CMO will foster a high-performance culture, offering both support and challenge to colleagues.They will provide dynamic clinical and managerial leadership, building a high-calibre, multi-disciplinary team supported by a differentiated Clinician Value Proposition.
The CMO will drive the Clinical Transformation agenda, positioning DCA as a leading, clinically-led organisation. They will lead the evolution of clinical services to align with DCA’s strategic direction while actively identifying revenue opportunities and fostering partnerships to enhance commercial value.The CMO will undertake as requested other activities that may be outside of their area of focus but which contribute to the overall success of the Company, as directed by the CEO or Board.

This position is hybrid, requiring occasional travel to the London office, approximately 2-3 days per week.
Salary: £160,000 per annum
Requirements- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the clinical vision to support commercial expansion and business growth.
- Commercial Growth & Business Development: Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to identify market opportunities, inform go-to-market strategies, and establish revenue-generating partnerships.
- Clinical Oversight: Ensure the highest standards of clinical integrity in product development, research, and patient care models.
- Clinical & Market Alignment: Ensure digital health solutions align with clinical best practices while addressing market needs and payer expectations
- Regulatory & Compliance: Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy laws, and industry standards.
- Reimbursement & Policy Navigation: Drive reimbursement strategies and engagement with government agencies, insurers, and policymakers to support market penetration.
- Stakeholder & Investor Relations: Represent the company’s clinical and regulatory vision to investors, board members, and external stakeholders to drive confidence and investment.
- Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with healthcare providers, payers, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory bodies.
- Product & Innovation: Collaborate with product & tech teams to integrate evidence-based medicine and real-world clinical insights into digital health solutions.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and publications to establish credibility and thought leadership.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilise clinical data and analytics to optimise solutions and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
Professional Qualifiations:
- MRCGP Qualification, GMC GP Registered (with no restrictions) with Minimum 7 years post CCT experience, currently on the English, Welsh or Northern Ireland National Performers list
- Deep understanding of the complexity of providing digital healthcare in regulated jurisdictions
- Outstanding reputation as a clinician and clinical leader, with a proven track record of producing high quality results in the management and leadership of clinical services.
- Experience in executive leadership roles within healthcare, digital health, medtech, or life sciences, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Strong experience in regulatory strategy, product approvals, and compliance within digital health.
- Expertise in go-to-market execution, payer engagement, and reimbursement strategy to drive commercialisation success.
- Proven ability to develop partnerships with payers, providers, and regulatory bodies to accelerate product adoption.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, CMS, etc.) and their impact on digital health solutions.
- Exceptional communication and business acumen to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of leading a large complex organisation through significant change.
- The ability to provide leadership and constructive challenge to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team, as well as working effectively with the Board and key business partners. They must bring strong stakeholder management skills and demonstrate a high degree of executive presence.
- Strong cultural fit with DCA; energetic, tenacious and resilient. This individual will need to demonstrate that they are comfortable operating in a fast paced, dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
