Work type: Monday to Friday (Full-time, permanent)Location: Birmingham (North Birmingham area)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the team.
- Assist with administrative tasks across the company in line with our workflow ethic.
- Transcribe and prepare correspondence and documents through audiotyping and word processing, using company precedents where appropriate.
- Handle administrative routines such as scanning, faxing, printing, and photocopying.
- Manage client/matter files efficiently, including file opening, preparation of client care letters, file closure, and archiving.
- Deal with incoming and outgoing mail in all mediums.
- Make appointments, arrange meetings, and maintain diaries for managers/fee earners, including providing refreshments as necessary.
- Attend to clients both in person and on the telephone, providing support in a professional and friendly manner.
- Ensure confidentiality of all the company’s and clients’ information.
- Work flexibly as part of the wider support team, cooperating with peers to maintain a cooperative team environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
