Sport Horses Direct - Equine Groom and breeding pathway Apprentice (Apprenticeship)
Danielle is looking for someone to help with aspects of yard work to include:
Mucking outTurning in and out, changing rugs, picking out feet.
Feeding, filling haynets, filling water buckets.
Tacking up and untacking.
Lunging.
Helping with the brood mares and foals.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and Maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Skills requiredExperience with horses a must, preferably current experience and with dealing with fit strong competition horses.
Prospects
Progression to the Level 3 Senior Groom Apprenticeship as well as the possibility of a full time position to the successful candidate.
