apartmentNorthern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust placeGrimsby calendar_month

Patient flow is one of the cornerstones of the Trust commitment to our patients. Effective administration provides the ability to ensure the patient is the focus of the activity and ensures a successful and valuable journey from referral to discharge for all patients.

The patient services team provides a varied support to the clinical Divisions in the form of a validation service ensuring routine and ad hoc validation is completed, a service of registering referrals as soon as they are received into the Trust, a service of ensuring expedited patients are managed appropriately, carry out clinical audio typing and supports the Trust in implementation of new patient administration systems and processes.

The patient services team is also responsible for ensuring a robust training package is in place for all new and existing administrative staff within the central and specialty admin teams.

This role will work in conjunction with the central and specialty administration team leaders to ensure all elements of this role are managed and prioritised to suit the needs of the patient and the service.

Due to the patient services team being a new department to the Trust, the roles and work pattern within this job description may change in the future as the role and team develops.
