At NHSBT Clinical fellow will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will have the opportunity to undertake work in the following areas: 1.Acquire subspecialty skills and experience in a.Components b.Donor medicine c.Red cell immunohaematology d.Patient blood management (PBM) 2.Acquire further knowledge of a.Manufacturing and logistics b.Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics c.Cell, apheresis and gene therapies d.Haemovigilance e.Research, audit and quality improvement All clinical duties will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a haematology consultant.
It is expected that the appointee will undertake one clinic per week. This can be discussed following successful appointment to the post, although the default clinic would be a general haematology clinic at QEHB.
