This position allows you to exercise advanced clinical decision-making, bridging care between primary and secondary services, and supporting patients through each step of the process.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse to work autonomously, impact patient outcomes, and be part of an innovative healthcare setting. Join us and make a lasting difference in patient care.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Expertise & Patient Care: Lead patient assessments and manage a caseload through nurse-led clinics. Communicate results and guide patients in decision-making. Deliver oncological support, including breaking bad news, and assess patient needs for immediate care.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership: Participate in MDT meetings, consult with GPs, and act as a primary contact within the RDC clinic. Provide clinical support across departments, referring patients as needed and tracking diagnostic pathways.
  • Protocol Development & Service Improvement: Develop clinical protocols with Consultant Leads, enhance RDC services, and lead quality improvement initiatives. Act as a liaison across teams to improve healthcare delivery and reduce patient stay lengths.
  • Education & Training: Mentor and educate junior staff and healthcare professionals. Develop training materials and patient-friendly information. Engage in educational programs focused on cancer and palliative care.
  • Research & Development: Conduct audits, report on service performance, and contribute to patient pathway development. Publish research and participate in conferences. Collaborate on policy development for the RDC model.

At Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.

Become part of a vibrant team living our values - expert, kind, collaborative and aspirational. You’ll get an experience like no other and will fast forward your career.

Benefits include career development, flexible working and wellbeing, staff recognition scheme. Make use of optional benefits including Cycle to Work, car lease schemes, season ticket loan or membership options for onsite leisure facilities.
