The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of King’s Lander Primary Academy, ensuring that our students continue to receive an outstanding education.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal and Vice Principal to drive school improvement, develop the curriculum, and lead on key strategic priorities. The role will also include the leadership of a core curriculum area, responsibility for staff professional development, and membership of the school safeguarding team.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will lead across Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Principal and Vice Principal in all aspects of school leadership, including curriculum development, staff performance, and student progress.
- Lead a core subject area, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a high-quality CPD programme for all staff.
- Lead and inspire teaching and support staff to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
- Foster a culture of high expectations, focusing on both academic success and character education.
- Work collaboratively with parents, the local community, and external agencies to further enhance the academy’s success.
- Take a lead role in behaviour management and attendance strategies.
- To deputise in the absence of the Principal and Vice Principal.
- An outstanding classroom practitioner, preferably with Key Stage 2 experience.
- An experienced leader with a proven track record of school improvement and raising attainment.
