Prosecutions and Licensing Lawyer
Locum contract, 3 months+
London, hybrid
Up to £55 umbrella
Great opportunity for an experienced Prosecutions and Licensing Lawyer to work within a well-established London Council.
This role is offering an initial 3 months with the opportunity to be extended on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis with 1 compulsory day in the office per week plus any court attendance. On offer is a competitive rate of up to £55 (umbrella rate) per hour.
The role will include handling a caseload of prosecutions matters including, but not limited to:
- Planning
- Education
- Environmental Protection
- Trading Standards
- Environmental Housing issues
There is also an expectation to attend occasional Licensing Sub-Committee Hearings and advocating in the Magistrates Court.
This role would be best suited to a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience working in local government as a Prosecutions / Litigation Lawyer. The successful Prosecutions Lawyer will be joining a friendly and dynamic team, working on an interesting and diverse caseload.
