Research Associate in Hydrogen Engineering

We are seeking an enthusiastic Research Associate in Hydrogen Engineering to play a pivotal role in advancing hydrogen research and collaborating with industry partners, with a strong focus on decarbonation.
Applicants must hold a high First Degree in Engineering or a related technical subject, and either possess a Doctorate in a relevant research field or demonstrate a commitment to working towards one. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team on the development of the new Enterprise Engineering and Optics Centre, which will serve as a specialist hub for research and development, business collaboration, and skills development in optics, photonics, and composites.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with proven experience in writing, collating, and submitting documents, as well as coordinating teams. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable however not essential.This position demands a driven and seasoned individual capable of leading the development of research objectives and proposals, ensuring the delivery of measurable outcomes within specified timelines.
Drawing on their experience and expertise in hydrogen engineering and decarbonation, the incumbent will collaborate effectively with local industry and the academic community to drive projects towards strategic objectives. Central to the role is the ability to communicate and engage effectively with all partners, providing progress updates and fostering collaborative efforts to meet deadlines within the respective field.
