Accountancy Recruit is partnering a financial services business to appoint an Accounts Assistant. This is a great opportunity to develop and take on more responsibility so would suit a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or Sales Ledger Clerk or Assistant Accountant. The position is fully remote and for 20 hours per week and will also offer study support for anyone currently studying AAT. The salary is up to £20,000 for 20 hours per week. The Accounts Assistant will have the following experience:
- Keeping track of income and spending, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Processing sales and purchase invoices, and entering them into the accounting system Xero.
- Assisting the Finance Manager with budgeting: helping to prepare monthly and annual budgets.
- Preparing balance sheets and other financial statements with support of the Finance Manager.
- VAT return preparation.
- Supporting monthly payroll.
To be successful in this role the Accounts Assistant will have the following experience:
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Ideally studying AAT.
- Experience of using Xero beneficial.
- Excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail and computer literate.
- Ability to work with a low level of supervision.
The salary advertised for this position is guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
