Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum + overtimeAre you an experienced Quality Inspector seeking a new challenge in a high-paced, quality-driven environmentA well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation is looking for a Quality/Mechanical Inspector to join their quality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting products and components at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure they meet required standards. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining quality assurance, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring final products meet customer expectations.Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and testing of mechanical and electrical components.Identify non-conformities and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Use a variety of mechanical inspection tools and techniques.
Maintain accurate records of inspection results.
Support other departments including logistics when required.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality procedures.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Prior experience in a mechanical/electrical inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.Competence in using manual measurement tools e.g., micrometers, calipers.
Working knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, or FDA.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good IT skills including use of Microsoft Office and ERP systems e.g., SAP.
Formal qualifications such as a mechanical apprenticeship or relevant vocational training.
Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
