Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire EastSalary: £22,996 to £25,068 actual annual salary (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Hourly Rate: £12.87 to £14.03 per hour
Hours: Full-Time – 40 hours per week – Term Time Only

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated learning needs.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development within a safe and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with learning activities and personal care needs where required
- Encouraging independence and promoting positive behaviour
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Adapting your support to meet individual pupil needs
- Helping create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic
- Flexible and adaptable in their approach
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C / Level 3 or above)
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (paid or voluntary)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
