An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary Sexual Health team at Homerton Healthcare Foundation Trust. This is a fixed term contract for 18 months to lead the team through service transformation, working strategically with our partners and stakeholders
We are looking for a nurse with significant clinical experience and excellent leadership and management experience in Sexual Health who will practice proactively and strategically with a vision for service transformation.
Main duties of the job
To lead high performing nursing teams across Adult and Young Persons Sexual Health Services in Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust areas, ensuring the delivery of high quality and safe patient care to all patients.
To lead and manage staff within the service ensuring effective supervision, guidance and performance management is provided.
Ensure that the development, education and training provision meets the need of nursing staff and supports compliance with the relevant healthcare standards in accordance with the Trust’s appraisal and training procedures.
Promote adherence to robust governance processes to ensure high quality care is provided for all service users. Proactively challenge poor practice and implement strategies for improvement.

Essential
Essential criteria- Registered Nurse
- Masters level or equivalent
- Post registration qualification in contraception
- Mentorship qualification
- Recognised GUM qualification / course
- LoC IUT/ Certificate in Intra uterine techniques
- LoC SDI/ Certificate in sub-dermal implants
- Experience of service development particularly with regard to nurse led services.
- Extensive post reg clinical experience - substantial amount in a leadership position.
- Non medical presciber
- Recognised qualification in care of people with HIV and AIDS, NHVINA or equivalent
- Accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification or appropriate MSc or Masters Level Course
- Leadership course
- Advanced Recognised qualification in reproductive healthcare/ DFSRH Facility registered trainer Teaching and assigning training or working towards
